Muslims and Christians
One hand

Flanked by hundreds of fellow Muslims, an imam from Al-Azhar pays a visit to a Cairo church during the Coptic Christmas celebration and delivers an inspirational, moving speech promoting inter-faith peace and dialogue. Be prepared to shed a drop of tear.

On Jan 7th, 2013, Madhar Shahin, the imam and speaker of a Cairo mosque and holder of a doctorate degree in Coranic rethorics from Al Azhar, the world's most prestigious Islamic university, paid a visit to a neighbouring Cairo church to share the coptic Christmas celebration. Hundreds of believers accompanied him. Invited to take the floor, he delivered a beautiful and inspirational speech, evoking the shared struggles and sacrifices of Muslims and Christians, "united like one hand" during the January 25th revolution.

Thank you for posting this up. As the Vice-President of the Australian Jordanian Society in Sydney Australia. I am incredibly pleased to see a website that helps promote ties between Christians and Muslims as brothers not enemies. Tolerance and Love is what this world needs, not the mindless fighting and hatred. Freearabs.com is now one of my favourite websites. What an amazing way to communicate to the world what Arabs are really like and what great changes are happening in the middle east, not the media spun lies that are fed to the western nations. I still believe though that so much more must be done as injustices on both sides are felt, heard and experienced everyday.

Freearabs.com keep up the good work. Your brother in Sydney, Australia.
